As is well known, the reliability and non-sustainability of the NTFS file system is above all commendable (see ). The same is true of the popularity of flash drives (see ). But that's not what this is about. The problem is, by default, the operating system is default disable the flash drive. may be either in the FAT file system or FAT32 (but not in NTFS!). Unrecognized programmes for the formatting/converting of disk devices such as PartitionMagic from PowerQuest Corporation may not be helpful.

There are several ways to solve this problem.

1. Press the Pucc - Natural Nasture - Main Control - System;

- In the open dialogue window of the system, open the deposit of the equipment of the Dispatch of Devices;

- In the intermediary window, Dispatch the devices, open the disk devices, open the window of the properties of your flash drive.

- Open the policy deposit, set up the switch to Optimize for the implementation of OK;

- Close the gateways of the Dispatch of Devices, of the System;

Open my computer, press the right button.

- From an open context menu, choose to form...

- In the dialogue window of the Format, the Failing List has an NTFS (inside FAT);

- Open the flash drive in NTFS;

- Set the switch to Optimize for rapid removal: My computer, the statehood, the statehood of the system, the basic equipment, the state control device, the state's discuit system, the mainland, the politics.

2. It's easier to make use of the built-in utilitator of the file system. convert.exe (File System Conversion Utility - C:\WINDOWS\system32\convert.exe):

- Start a command interpreter: press the Pucc-Condition--- the main launch of the program - state cmd - state OK;

- Translate (if necessary) the set-up on EN;

- after an invitation to the C-Documents and Settings/ Administrator

convert : /fs:ntfs /nosecurity /x

(e.g. for H flash drive: need to convert h: /fs:ntfs /nosecurity /x);

Press;

- After the envelope is completed, insert a exit (or just close the command interpreter window).

Notes

1. Although convertible convert.exe allows for the conversion of a non-data-default file system, it is recommended that all data available for converting be copied prior to the completion of the conversion.
